From the beautiful subtropical landscape, turquoise oceans, to the resilient spirit of it's people, Okinawa has plenty to offer you during your time studying and interning here. Here we will introduce various sites that give you more insight into the daily life and climate here in Okinawa.
Through our blog we hope to introduce the beauty and wonders of Okinawa, Japan to all of our readers. Okinawa is an awe inspiring land of vivid culture rich history, that has influences from China, southeast asia, USA and of course Japan.
Even though an integral part of Japan, Okinawa enjoys a unique heritage of distinctive language and dialects, as well as a history that crossed paths with many nations to make it a shining example of the diversity within Japan. While the official language is indeed Japanese, visitors will find traces of the local language interspersed throughout conversation and lore in Okinawa.
The charming Okinawan culture and history has become very popular throughout Japan, and you can find Okinawan cultural influences in general Japanese pop culture, from music, movies to the martial arts. Yet another reason that our program offers participants a once in a lifetime experience.
